I am joining Jenn on her blog for the month of July sharing a project a day related to "All Things Summery or Nautical."

I created this seahorse card with some new stamps I purchased at the Springfield Stamp Convention last month. I colored the seahorse with brush markers onto glossy card stock. I love the detail and colors.

I also created this sailboat ATC for a "Ruffle" swap Joanie is hosting over at the Shack. I wanted to include here as it blends perfectly with the theme.

I will be donating a set of 4 Seahorse cards to the auction for Christy's Mom.

Face Painting

I was the official face painter at Stella & Sophia's birthday party last weekend. My first time ever doing it and look at that long line of little girls waiting! They were so patient and happy! I look forward to getting better each time I do it. Next up will be my grandson's birthday party in Sept.

The first card was done with different Basic Grey PP for the BG's - I made over 20. The bird card was stamped on the Denami irridescent pink paper which may show up better if you click on the photo to enlarge it. As usual I made over 20.

Washer Pendants

I am having a blast creating these washer pendants. I have been using pretty papers, beads, charms, wire, & alcohol inks. Joanie gave me a link here and once I saw them I had to make some! I had all the supplies except the washers. Of course I have added to my supplies with more beads and wire and cords OH MY!

I {heart} Leanne Ellis. She designs these wonderfully whimsical girls for Sugar Nelly Stamps out of the UK. I have almost all her designs. Plus many other Sugar Nelly stamps.

I had fun with these wings. I stamped them on acetate and colored in with sparkle pens then bent the edge and adhered so she looks as though she is taking flight.

Stencil Fun - Part Deux!

You cannot really see the dimension on this blue window but it is there.

I used blue Embossing Icing from The Stencil Collection. They offer some nice color combos. I only made 12 of this card because stenciling with paste/icing is quite tedious.

I masked in the flowers which I colored with SU markers then stamped the sentiment. I used Swarovski crystals from Outlines on the flowers.

I feel the layout of the card is lacking. The focal point/image is pretty but I know I could've come up with a better design.

I tried the SU chalks but they smeared and spread dust particles around. Not happy with that. I will try the Stencil Collection's non-smear chalks next time.

Stencil Fun!

This was my first attempt at home (after taking 2 classes last week with Theresa from Dream Weaver Stencils ) using pigment ink. I used several shades for each component to add some shading. I am new at shading and feel I am improving in small increments.

I used some Distressed Stickles near the chair for sand and texture.

This stencil is from The Stencil Collection.

And I blew off the dust on my Crop-A-Dile for the eyelets.

Next up will be my first attempt at home with stencils and paste.

I am enjoying the versatility of stencils! I even ran one through my Cuttlebug. I broke the B plate not using the correct sandwich. Luckily I had back-up B plates. LOL. I now know the correct sandwich so the rest of my plates should be safe.

How was your Fourth of July weekend?

Mine was quiet, no crowds, home alone crafting and catching up with my shows.

Such a sweet mermaid with flowing hair (by shirleys2girls.) The background word stamp is from StampZia. I have many of her stamps which I have collected from the past 3 consecutive stamp conventions in W Springfield. I also used a fish net stamp by Fred Mullett. I colored with Copics. Joanie helped with the color choices. Used Stickles on her lower body. And used some fishing line instead of ribbon.

Welcome to my brand spankin' new blog!

I will be sharing cards I happily and whole{heart}edly create for Little Life Preservers along with other creations from my little world of rubber, paper, scissors, ink.

You won't see a daily post as I make 1 card design in batches of 20-40 each so I keep a good healthy stash of cards on hand for LLP. I have about 50 designs done so far at an average of 30 each so that is over 1,500 cards made so far!

Iam a totally addicted rubber stamp tramp!
